Pancake on The Rocks, Darling Harbour

We went to Pancake on The Rocks at Harbourside for some sugar fix. Since we were already a bit full, we just ordered a couple of pancakes to share.

Devils Delight ($14.95)

I usually order this menu and substitute one of the chocolate pancakes with a buttermilk one. Because we were going to order another kind (pictured below), we decided to keep as it is. This menu consists of 2 chocolate pancakes, a portion of strawberry slices, a dollop of cream, a scoop of chocolate ice cream, and a few drizzles of chocolate sauce. Simply said, chocolate is all over this menu.

Bananarama ($12.95)

This was my first time to order this pancake menu. I actually quite liked this as well. So we had 2 pieces of buttermilk pancakes, a dollop of cream, a scoop of vanilla ice cream, 2 slices of small grilled banana, and a homemade butterscotch sauce. This menu was exactly the opposite of the Devils Delight. While Devils Delight was more on the bitter side because of all the chocolates, Bananarama was on the sweeter side.

Start digging in!

To summarise, the pancakes from this place are very recommended as they are smooth, fluffy (those buttermilk ones are heaven sent), and the pricing is pretty affordable. Place is quite spacey, however, if you turn up during dinner hours on a weekend, you probably need to queue. The downside is that apart from the great pancakes, the rest in the menu could still be improved.
